This summer is like no other. No beach and sandy hair for me. Even if the ocean is just five minutes away, I still could not find even one day to go, relax, and enjoy the waves. Thus, I found myself wearing exclusively black the whole summer. It’s not only that I wore black almost every day, I also bought about five dresses all black, two black blazers, black shoes, black hosiery, black everything. My mind is set on black probably out of comfort and as a result of some exhaustion. Our lifestyle dictates our wardrobe and for the past 3 months my lifestyle was something like: Ready, Set. Go. Go. Go. Work. Work. Work. Black is great for a busy lifestyle and it’s effortlessly stylish especially when you have to run from one meeting to another, from a conference to another, meet people and get your projects to another level.
The boyish look with a touch of feminine is how I would describe my outfit preferences in this moment. Palazzo, large, flowy pants, an oversized blazer, and any kind of sneakers are the items that I ‘d grab the first thing in the morning. Anything that would allow me to move freely and provide a polished look. After all, I deal with jewelry on a daily basis and people immediately spot you as a serious professional when wearing black. No doubts there. Wear a black blazer and go to Zara or any department store and you will be amazed how many people will ask you for directions or specific questions about the merchandise.
“You can wear black at any time. You can wear it at any age. You may wear it for almost any occasion; a ‘little black frock’ is essential to a woman’s wardrobe.” – Christian Dior
