Charleston Fashion Week

One great thing about Charleston Fashion Week was the Style Lounge – a glamorous spot for all the fashion lovers. The style lounge was in fact the first tent to enter once you got your wristbands, offering the perfect pre-party ambience with DJs, cocktails, wine tasting, amazing little shops presented by The Shops at Belmond Charleston Place, a Bloggers’ Club house for on the spot interviews, food vendors, photo booths, a media mezzanine, a Paul Mitchell touch-up station, and an overall cosmopolitan atmosphere. The Style Lounge was a kind of runway itself, as one could see a multitude of enticing wardrobes and a variety of high-end styles proudly worn by beautiful people.

Furthermore, the Style lounge was also designed to serve the fashionistas on the budget, offering an opportunity to watch the shows and be part of the scene for a great and affordable price (about $20-$30). It’s a great place to mingle with like-minded people, get to make new acquaintances, meet your favorite bloggers, take pictures, drink a glass of wine, admiring the fashion shows, getting inspired, laughing, and dreaming. In my opinion, the Style tent was indeed amazing and Congratulations to the organizers for contouring such a lovely start for the fashion shows for five days in a row. Meeting the Governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley at the Style Lounge on Friday probably will summarize the true hight  of this one -of- a- kind place and event.

No fashion week would be complete without style inspiration and a great shopping experience and the Style Lounge wasn’t surely short of that. Francis + Benedict, Royal Peasantry, Dolce Vita, Autumn & Parr, Apricot Lane, Stella & Dot, The Shops at Belmond Charleston Place, Tanager Outlets, Southern Gates Jewelry, Sustylish, Trunk Club, Barry Beaux, Pearl + Mint, Belk, to name just a few of the multitude of the present shops with their most interesting pieces.

The Style Lounge of the Charleston Fashion Week reminded me a lot about Scott Fitzgerald’s novel “The Great Gatsby” and the lavish lifestyle patronized by gorgeous women and voguish men. Cannot wait for the next year to attend this wonderful spring event!

With much excitement,

Sabina
